Uiryeong County, Gyeongnam, announced on the 9th that at the opening ceremony of the Sinbeon Cultural Festival on the 6th, singer Bae Ahyeon, who became connected with Uiryeong County after winning the grand prize at the 1st Lee Hoseop Song Festival, was appointed as a promotional ambassador by County Governor Oh Taewan, received a plaque of appointment, and gave a congratulatory performance.

On this day, singer Bae donated 3 million KRW as a Hometown Love Donation for the development of Uiryeong and further donated return gifts worth 900,000 KRW, earning praise from local residents for her good deeds.

Singer Bae Ahyeon is often called the 'Daughter of Uiryeong' by herself and others, as winning the grand prize at the 1st Lee Hoseop Song Festival in 2015 became a major turning point in her singing career.

An official from the county explained the reason for selecting her as a promotional ambassador, saying, "Her solid fundamentals, outstanding skills, and unique weapon of 'traditional trot singing technique' align perfectly with the direction and spirit of Uiryeong County."

Meanwhile, the newly appointed ambassador Bae will serve as an honorary, unpaid promotional messenger to raise the profile of Uiryeong for two years. Uiryeong County plans to produce promotional content that can spread the healthy and positive energy of singer Bae Ahyeon.
