At the event held on the 7th, singers Son Minchae and Park Taehee opened the stage. Following this, congratulatory performances by invited singers such as An Sunghoon, Hong Jiyoon, Younggi, and Han Yuchae continued. Eight of the nation's top amateur musicians, who made it through fierce preliminary rounds, showcased their outstanding singing abilities in the finals, receiving enthusiastic responses from the audience.
As a result of the heated competition among the finalists, Kim Hyunjin, who passionately sang "Heung Arirang," won the grand prize, the highest award of the festival. The gold prize went to Kang Jaewon, who performed "Gohae," the silver prize to Jo Hyerin, who sang "Binsone," and the bronze prize to police officer Lim Kimin for the song "Pungdeung." Although four other finalists did not win awards, they entertained the audience with their excellent performances.
County Governor Sung Nakin said, "Despite difficult conditions such as the weather, the event concluded successfully with much attention and support," adding, "Next year, we will prepare an even richer festival, and I hope the Changnyeong Onion Garlic Song Festival will contribute to the development of local cultural content and establish itself as a representative regional music festival in Korea."
