Choi Minhee: "Moon, Please Boldly Refuse the Prosecutor's Investigation... It's an Attempt to Humiliate"

Former President Moon Jae-in stated that he would "face the prosecution investigation confidently and strongly," while Choi Min-hee, a member of the Democratic Party of Korea, said, "Former President Moon should not attend the prosecution's summons," adding, "It is intended to humiliate a former president by putting him on the photo line."

On the 9th, on YTN Radio's 'News Fighting with Bae Seung-hee,' Rep. Choi said, "Whether to go for the investigation or not is up to former President Moon to decide," but also advised, "I recommend that he confidently refuse."

Regarding the prosecution's investigation of former President Moon, she claimed, "This is a political prosecution investigation aimed at humiliation," and "There was a massive media play even before summoning the parties involved." She added, "The logic that the wages earned by the former son-in-law for his work are considered bribes is something I have never seen," and said, "The content of the (prosecution) investigation is weak, and it can only be seen as picking faults and harassing."

She also criticized, "The Yoon Seok-yeol government, now in its third year in power, is still investigating the opposition party leader, and on top of that, is investigating a former president," and asked, "The time for the Yoon Seok-yeol government to be evaluated by the people with its capabilities has passed, so how long will they keep harassing only the former president and the opposition leader?"

On the 8th, Lee Jae-myung, leader of the Democratic Party, visited Pyeongsan Village in Yangsan City, Gyeongnam, and held a meeting with former President Moon for about 40 minutes. According to Cho Seung-rae, the Democratic Party's chief spokesperson that day, Lee told former President Moon, "The current government's behavior is political oppression that is incomprehensible both politically and legally, and a means to rally a handful of supporters." In response, former President Moon said, "Basically, this is something my family and I have to bear, but I am grateful to the party," and replied, "I will face it confidently and strongly."
