Freelance Market Kmong Selected as 'Top Job Creator in Korea'

Kmong, a freelance market platform operator, announced on the 9th that it has been selected as a ‘2024 Korea Job Excellence Company’ by the Ministry of Employment and Labor. The ‘Korea Job Excellence Company’ is a certification system by the Ministry of Employment and Labor that selects companies that have achieved results by leading the creation of quality jobs and improving job quality. Since its introduction in 2010, 100 companies have been selected annually.

Since 2017, Kmong has been operating an innovative work system by introducing a 7-hour workday and a 35-hour workweek for all employees, thereby shortening working hours and creating a flexible work environment. In addition, to boost employee morale and provide refresh opportunities, Kmong grants a one-month sabbatical leave to employees with five years of long-term service and offers half a day off on their birthdays. Furthermore, to support the growth of its members, Kmong provides an annual self-development allowance of 500,000 KRW that can be used for education costs related to their job.

Moreover, Kmong was recognized in May for leading the realization of gender equality in employment by spreading a family-friendly culture and contributing to the establishment of a work-family balance culture, and was selected as an excellent company for gender equality in employment, receiving a presidential citation.
