'Forest of Change, 40-Second Stories' Korea Forest Service and Korea Forestry Promotion Institute Short-Form Contest

The Korea Forest Service and the Korea Forestry Promotion Institute announced on the 9th that they will hold a short-form contest titled "Forest of Change, 40-Second Stories" from the 9th of this month to the 4th of next month.

The contest is held under the theme "The Future of Forests Changed by Forest Science and Technology." The purpose of the contest is to discover the future forests desired by the public and the demand for forest science and technology by presenting short stories that enhance the value of forests by adding imagined science and technology to the forest.


Anyone aged 13 to under 40, both domestic and international citizens, can participate in the contest.


Entries must be short vertical videos of about 40 seconds or less containing content related to forests and science and technology. There are no genre restrictions.


The Korea Forest Service and the Korea Forestry Promotion Institute plan to select four outstanding works through eligibility screening followed by expert and public evaluation. The selected works will be utilized in the field of planning research for forest science and technology R&D in the future. A total prize of 2.1 million KRW will be awarded to the winners.


Choi Mu-yeol, President of the Korea Forestry Promotion Institute, said, "We hope that many ideas leading innovation in forests and forestry sites through forest science and technology will be submitted to the contest."
