Official Sponsor of the US Triple Crown Race 'Kentucky Derby' Since 2018
First Partnership with Korea Racing Authority Domestically
Premium bourbon whiskey 'Woodford Reserve' from Korea Brown Foreman announced on the 9th that it participated as the official sponsor of the 7th Korea Cup & Korea Sprint, an international racing event hosted by the Korea Racing Authority.

The Korea Cup & Korea Sprint, held on the 8th at Seoul Race Park (Let's Run Park) in Gwacheon, Gyeonggi Province, is the largest international horse racing competition in Korea, where famous horses from home and abroad compete. Since 2016, the Korea Racing Authority has been hosting this event to invite renowned overseas horses to Korea, assess the level of domestic racehorses, and provide opportunities for growth.
Woodford Reserve has been sponsoring the Kentucky Derby, one of the three major horse racing events in the United States, since 2018, promoting the culture of Kentucky, the birthplace of bourbon. This year marks the first time Woodford Reserve has partnered with the Korea Racing Authority to sponsor K-horse racing events domestically.
On the day of the event, Woodford Reserve provided various highballs and cocktails made with Woodford Reserve to officials, including the international racing delegation. In particular, they introduced the iconic menu 'Mint Julep,' which is also designated as the official cocktail of the Kentucky Derby. The refreshing crushed mint leaves and the sweet taste of sugar perfectly harmonize with the smooth flavor of Woodford Reserve's original spirit.
Additionally, the winner of the event was awarded the 'Woodford Reserve Kentucky Derby Limited Edition' engraved with the Korea Racing Authority logo as a prize. The Woodford Reserve Kentucky Derby Limited Edition was released this year to commemorate the 150th running of the Kentucky Derby, produced in limited quantities, and has not yet been officially released in Korea.
Woodford Reserve whiskey is the only bourbon whiskey brand distilled three times using a traditional copper pot still, with the distilled spirit fermented for the industry's longest period of seven days, followed by aging for over six years, boasting the finest smoothness and rich yet delicate flavors.
