Office workers are showing great interest in retirement pensions to prepare assets that can be utilized after retirement. Samsung Asset Management announced on the 9th that it has newly published the ‘KODEX Retirement Pension 100% Investable ETF Pocket Guidebook,’ which introduces ETFs that can be invested 100% through retirement pension accounts.
When investing through retirement pension accounts, it is mandatory to hold at least 30% in safe asset-type products to align with the purpose of preparing funds for post-retirement life. Although various assets can be invested in retirement pension (DC/IRP) accounts, the maximum proportion of risky assets such as stock-type products, which may incur investment losses, is limited to 70%. ETFs that invest less than 50% in stocks and stock-related collective investment securities or qualified TDFs (Target Date Funds) can be invested in at 100%.
The ‘KODEX Retirement Pension 100% Investment Guidebook’ includes 33 products that meet these conditions, such as 19 domestic interest rate-linked & bond-type ETFs, 6 overseas bond-type ETFs, and 8 asset allocation-type ETFs. Detailed information on the retirement pension system and tax benefits can also be found in the guidebook.
The ‘KODEX Retirement Pension 100% Investment Guidebook’ introduces six ETFs that can be used according to various investment purposes, ranging from cash management to long-term government bond investment and asset allocation, depending on investors’ situations and preferences. Samsung Asset Management proposed ▲‘KODEX CD Interest Rate Active (Synthetic),’ a highly stable cash management product that accumulates CD interest income daily without any period conditions, as a representative investment destination for standby funds ▲and long-term government bond products such as ‘KODEX U.S. 30-Year Treasury Bond Active (H)’ and ‘KODEX Government Bond 30-Year Active’ for bond-preferred investors expecting interest rate cuts.
Kim Dohyung, Head of ETF Consulting at Samsung Asset Management, said, "We believe it is the role of asset management companies handling retirement pension products to guide office workers to fully understand the retirement pension system and utilize it according to their own situations." He added, "The guidebook is designed to help investors select and invest in KODEX ETFs that can fill 100% of their retirement pension investments without gaps, according to their investment preferences and goals. We will continue to actively support customers’ retirement preparations with diverse investment portfolios."
The ‘KODEX Retirement Pension 100% Investment Guidebook’ can be downloaded from the KODEX website without separate membership registration.
