Operation of 10 Task Forces for 10 Key Areas Closely Related to Residents' Daily Lives
Yangsan City, Gyeongnam Province, has established a comprehensive plan covering 10 key areas, focusing on stabilizing prices during Chuseok to ensure that citizens can enjoy a safe and comfortable holiday. The city will operate an integrated situation room for five days from September 14 to September 18.
During the holiday period, the city’s integrated situation room will organize 10 task forces by sector to immediately address any issues that may arise in areas closely related to residents' daily lives, such as emergency medical care, transportation and safety measures, and waste management.
The main areas of focus include: ▲Stabilizing prices and supporting the local economy and residents’ livelihoods during Chuseok ▲Promoting a warm holiday atmosphere ▲Resolving delayed wage payments ▲Emergency medical care and infectious disease prevention ▲Establishing a 24-hour safety response system ▲Preventing livestock epidemics ▲Enhancing transportation and safety measures ▲Timely waste disposal ▲Stable supply of public services ▲Upholding public service discipline and maintaining work systems, for a total of 10 areas.
In particular, the city will designate on-duty medical institutions and pharmacies, establish a 24-hour emergency medical system, and manage the operation of emergency medical institutions, hospitals, clinics, and on-duty pharmacies. During the Chuseok holiday, information on 'emergency/on-duty medical institutions and on-duty pharmacies' can be found in the city's website news section and via the 'Emergency Medical Information' smartphone app.
Additionally, the city will inspect safety management in sectors such as electricity and gas, organize a rapid-response waterworks repair team to deal with water supply accidents such as leaks, and focus administrative efforts on supporting basic livelihood security recipients and national merit recipients, as well as on waste collection and price stabilization.
A Yangsan City official stated, "By operating a comprehensive situation room for each sector during the holiday period and preparing for emergencies, we will do our utmost to ensure that citizens can enjoy a safe and warm Chuseok holiday."
