Public Inspection Procedure from September 5 to October 7, Expected Requests for Mid-Year Revision of Maintenance Plans... Sequential Implementation for Prompt Processing of Seongsu Strategic Maintenance Zone Plan, Completion of Public Inspection for Districts 1, 2, and 4
Seongdong-gu, Seoul (District Mayor Jeong Won-oh) announced that from September 5th, a one-month public inspection will be conducted on the draft amendment of the district unit plan (maintenance plan) for the Seongsu Strategic Maintenance Zone Housing Redevelopment Project District 3, located at Seongsu 2-ga 572-7.
The Seongsu Strategic Maintenance Zone had its maintenance plan established in 2011, but the project faced difficulties due to the need for simultaneous implementation across four districts, which involved large-scale infrastructure, high burden rates, and height restrictions.
In response, last June, the Seoul Metropolitan Government prepared a draft amendment of the district unit plan for the Seongsu Strategic Maintenance Zone to enable project implementation by each of the four districts. Based on this, land use plans (drafts) for each district (Districts 1 to 4) have been established, and the maintenance zones and maintenance plans are scheduled to be decided and publicly announced.
The district office is conducting public inspection procedures by district to expedite the initiation process for the draft amendment of the district unit plan (maintenance plan) for the Seongsu Strategic Maintenance Zone.
Before March of this year, the public inspection and district council opinion hearing for the draft amendment of the district unit plan (maintenance plan) for Districts 1 and 2 of the Seongsu Strategic Maintenance Zone Housing Redevelopment Project were completed, and in August, the public inspection and residents’ briefing session for District 4 were held.
From September 5th to October 7th, the final public inspection procedure for District 3 will be conducted. The draft amendment of the district unit plan can be inspected at the Seongdong-gu Housing Maintenance Division, Seongsu 2-ga 1-dong Community Service Center, and the Seongsu 3 Housing Redevelopment Association Office.
A residents’ briefing session is scheduled for September 10th. The session will cover the main contents of the draft amendment of the district unit plan for the Seongsu Strategic Maintenance Zone, including the land use plans (drafts) for each district (Districts 1 to 4) and explanations and Q&A regarding building heights applying the ‘Urban and Architectural Creative Innovation Design Guidelines.’
The district office plans to reflect the opinions of residents and stakeholders collected through the public inspection and briefing session to prepare the draft amendment of the district unit plan for the Seongsu Strategic Maintenance Zone. After hearing opinions from the district council in the second half of this year, it will request the Seoul Metropolitan Government to decide on the redevelopment plan.
Jeong Won-oh, Mayor of Seongdong-gu, stated, “Through this briefing session, we will actively gather residents’ opinions and, based on continuous cooperation with the Seoul Metropolitan Government, ensure that the Seongsu Strategic Maintenance Zone Housing Redevelopment Project proceeds swiftly and stably.”
