Park Gang-su, Mayor of Mapo-gu, Supports Future Soccer Stars

Park Gang-su, Mayor of Mapo District, visited the ‘2024 Early Childhood Soccer League’ held at Nanji Stream Artificial Turf Field on the morning of the 7th to cheer and encourage the future soccer stars.

Organized by the Mapo District Sports Council, the league was attended by 260 participants including players from local daycare centers and kindergartens’ soccer teams, as well as parents and related personnel.

The young players fully demonstrated the skills they had honed, nurturing their passion for soccer and dreams for the future.

Despite their small stature, the children showcased quick footwork and excellent ball-handling skills, running across the field with impressive agility, inspiring those who watched.

The lively matches of the children received enthusiastic applause from parents and officials, filling the stadium with laughter and cheers of support.

Park Gang-su, Mayor of Mapo District, said, "Children’s participation in sports not only improves their physical and mental health but also greatly helps in fostering a sense of community," adding, “We will continue to do our best to support ongoing sports activities so that children can grow up healthy.”
