According to the legal community on the 7th, the Criminal Division 1 of the Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office (Chief Prosecutor Kim Seung-ho) dismissed the false accusation charges against Lee on the 5th.

A prosecution official stated, "After supplementary investigations including questioning multiple related parties, it was judged that there was insufficient evidence to recognize the charges."

The prosecution summoned Representative Kim, his aide Jang, and others as witnesses to verify the facts. It is also reported that Lee was investigated.

Earlier, the police, believing that the allegations had substance but Lee had falsely accused the Garoseuro Research Institute personnel, forwarded the case to the prosecution in October 2022 with a recommendation for indictment, but the prosecution concluded with non-prosecution.

The case began in December 2021 when the YouTube channel 'Garoseuro Yeonguso' raised allegations that Lee had received sexual bribery twice in 2013 in Daejeon from Kim Seong-jin, CEO of iKist.

Lee denied the allegations and sued Kang Yong-seok, a lawyer who appeared on Garoseuro Yeonguso at the time, and former reporter Kim Se-ui for defamation under the Information and Communications Network Act.

In response, Kang Shin-up, the legal representative of Representative Kim, filed a complaint against Lee for false accusation. Representative Kim maintains that the sexual bribery is true.
