Sunchon National University Hosts Presidents' Council Meeting
Presidents' Group Enjoys Garden Workation Lodging and Garden Tour
Suncheon City, Jeollanam-do (Mayor Noh Kwan-gyu) expressed "a warm welcome and gratitude for the visit of the National Council of Presidents of Public Universities to Suncheon, and it is very meaningful to provide an opportunity to directly experience the beauty of Suncheon."
The National Council of Presidents of Public Universities was held on the 5th at the 70th Anniversary Hall of Suncheon National University, hosted by Suncheon National University.

The council was attended by presidents of 34 public universities, the Vice Minister of the Ministry of Science and ICT, officials from the Ministry of Education and the University Education Council, strengthening cooperation on education, research, and mutual development of universities.
Following the council, participants stayed overnight at a garden workation combining work, rest, and tourism, and on the 6th, they explored various parts of Suncheonman National Garden using the Garden Dreamho, personally experiencing the nature and culture of Suncheon.
Jeong Seong-taek, president of Chonnam National University and chair of the council, praised, “Suncheonman National Garden felt like an attractive place reminiscent of an American resort where the comfortable atmosphere and leisurely space of a slow city harmoniously blend.”
Mayor Noh Kwan-gyu of Suncheon said, “As you have experienced the nature and culture of Suncheon, we ask for your continued interest and affection for our region,” and added, “We will cooperate to ensure mutual growth between universities and the local community.”
