Kim Sunghee, the Chief of Gyeongnam Provincial Police Agency, participated in the youth gambling eradication relay challenge.
This campaign began last March to raise awareness about the dangers of illegal online gambling and to prevent its spread.
The campaign is conducted in a relay format where participants upload a photo of themselves holding a placard with the campaign slogan to their social networking service (SNS) accounts and nominate the next participant. It will continue until the 17th.

Chief Kim, who was nominated by Jung Yumi, the Chief Prosecutor of the Changwon District Prosecutors' Office, held a placard on the 6th that read, "Illegal online gambling targeting youth is a scam crime that can never be won."
Chief Kim stated, "Addictive crimes such as gambling have a high risk of recidivism and are likely to lead to secondary crimes such as school violence. We will not only arrest offenders and protect victims but also actively cooperate with related organizations to eradicate these crimes."
He nominated Park Wansu, the Governor of Gyeongnam Province, Kim Jaebyung, the Chief of Gyeongnam Fire Department, and Park Minwon, the President of Changwon National University, as the next participants.
Since May, the Gyeongnam Provincial Police Agency has been conducting a special crackdown on illegal online gambling for six months in the second half of the year, and has been focusing on deploying school police officers to carry out special preventive education on online gambling targeting youth.
