Employees from the Wolseong Headquarters sister village partnership department attended the volunteer activities at the "51st Gampo-eup Senior Citizens' Comfort Festival" held at Gampo Port, organized by Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power's Wolseong Nuclear Power Headquarters.
This year's Senior Citizens' Festival featured a variety of performances, including a traditional Korean music performance, the "Culture and Arts Renaissance" show by the Gyeongju Cultural Foundation, and performances by invited singers.
The "Gampo-eup Residents' Autonomy Program" presentation, supported by Wolseong Headquarters and organized by the Gampo-eup Residents' Autonomy Committee, was also held, making the festival even more diverse.
Im Kyungil, president of the Gampo Senior Citizens' Association, expressed his gratitude, saying, "I am thankful that Wolseong Headquarters is taking care of senior welfare, which should be a concern for the Gampo Senior Citizens' Association and other organizations."
Heo Daeyoung, Director of External Cooperation at Wolseong Headquarters, said, "It is a pleasure to meet the seniors of Gampo like this, and we at Wolseong Headquarters will always do our best to ensure you stay healthy in the future."
In addition, Wolseong Headquarters is caring for local seniors by holding events such as the 100-Year Longevity Village Certification and delivering side dishes every month. Officials from Wolseong Headquarters stated that they plan to actively participate in local welfare and strengthen their cooperative system with the community.
