"Suddenly Showing Up and Begging for Money"... Stars Suffering After Revealing Their Homes

After Revealing Home on Variety Show
Privacy Invasion Due to Influx of Tourists and Others

Broadcast programs revealing celebrities' homes have recently become a hot topic. However, it has been reported that celebrities suffer from 'invasion of privacy' after their homes are shown. Some people lurk around their houses, while others suddenly show up asking to borrow money.

MBC announcer Kim Dae-ho appeared as a client looking for a new home on the MBC show 'Save Me! Holmes' aired on the 5th. This program first aired in 2019 and features stars helping clients find homes.

The reason Kim Dae-ho was looking for a new home was due to 'invasion of privacy.' He gained popularity after appearing on MBC's 'I Live Alone,' where he also revealed his residence. However, as his address and other personal information became known, more people started visiting his home. Kim Dae-ho lamented, "I left my bag behind while drinking, and the next day, the bag was placed in front of my door," adding, "Because I revealed my home a lot, many people come and go."

In the show, Kim Dae-ho chose a house located in Eunpyeong-gu, Seoul, among several options. The sale price was 820 million won, and it was a two-story detached house with a mini garden and even a swimming pool. Although the house exceeded his desired budget, Kim Dae-ho explained his choice, saying, "If I like the house, I end up stretching myself financially," and "I thought I should work harder. Since I am an office worker, proximity to the company is important."

Kim Dae-ho is not the only celebrity who suffered setbacks after revealing their home on a broadcast program. Previously, model Han Hye-jin and broadcaster Park Na-rae also complained about invasion of privacy.

Park Na-rae expressed on Channel A's 'Oh Eun-young's Golden Counseling Center' in July, "There are many people who come uninvited just to meet me. Some even ask to borrow money."

Han Hye-jin had previously revealed her villa located in Hongcheon, Gangwon-do. In April, she shared photos of the villa on social media and pleaded, "Please do not come here. Yield to the homeowner," adding, "Please. The CCTV here records even license plates, so I ask you. It's scary."

In the same month, she also shared on a broadcast, "Not long ago, I was home alone when a middle-aged couple was drinking tea and taking photos in the yard," and "They parked their car right in the middle of the yard."

She continued, "I apologized to the couple but politely asked them to leave since this is private property. They said, 'We will leave,' but then went down toward the valley to take photos," adding, "So I asked them again to leave." She also revealed plans to install a fence near the villa someday to prevent invasion of privacy.
