Gwangjin-gu (Mayor Kim Kyung-ho) will hold the 'Chuseok Special Agricultural and Marine Products Direct Market' at Guui Park on the 10th.
Recently, due to high inflation, the burden on residents preparing for the holiday has been continuously increasing. In response, the district operates a direct market every year during Chuseok to supply excellent agricultural and marine products at affordable prices and to revitalize the local economy.
This year's market will feature a total of 27 organizations, including ▲ 12 local governments, including sister cities ▲ 13 small and medium-sized enterprises and social economy companies within the region ▲ Jayang Traditional Market ▲ Saemaeul Women's Association, showcasing fresh agricultural and marine products and various goods.
The operating hours are from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on the 10th. Specialty products from each region, such as Inje dried pollack, Boeun jujubes, and Gapyeong pine nuts, will be sold at prices 10-30% lower than market prices. Additionally, excellent products from various companies located in Gwangjin-gu, including health functional foods and daily necessities, will be available at affordable prices.
Also, the traditional market and Saemaeul Women's Association will prepare and sell various holiday foods such as napa cabbage kimchi, sweet potatoes, and moshi rice cakes.
Kim Kyung-ho, Mayor of Gwangjin-gu, said, “We have prepared this year’s Chuseok direct market more thoroughly to support local farmers and promote exchange between urban and rural areas. We hope many residents visit the market to purchase local agricultural and marine products at affordable prices and enjoy a bountiful Chuseok holiday.”
