Hyo-ryeong Senior Welfare Town, under the Gwangju Metropolitan City Social Service Agency (Director Jeong Gyeong-nam), will hold a 'Special Chuseok Care Event' for elderly people living alone from the 5th to the 20th in celebration of the upcoming Chuseok holiday.
Through this holiday event, Hyo-ryeong Senior Welfare Town plans to provide emotional stability to over 500 elderly individuals living alone and further strengthen solidarity with the local community.
They will deliver ingredient sets including rice flour for pancakes, frying powder, and noodles to help the elderly prepare traditional holiday foods, enabling them to feel the warmth of celebrating the holiday with family.
Additionally, staff members will visit homes in person to check on the elderly and spend time chatting with them to alleviate their loneliness.
Director Jeong Gyeong-nam stated, “We will promote a special safety visit service for the Chuseok holiday, delivering health care supplies and doing our best to ensure a warm Chuseok for elderly people in need of care.”
