On the morning of the 5th, the Usan Precinct of the Gwangju Gwangsan Police Station (Chief Park Myung-gyu) held a cooperation meeting with representatives from five financial institutions, including the Songjeong Nonghyup Usan Branch, in the precinct meeting room to ensure a peaceful and stable local community.
Chief Park Myung-gyu of the Usan Precinct pledged, "To prevent face-to-face voice phishing crimes impersonating various institutions such as the Financial Supervisory Service, police, and prosecution, which have been occurring rapidly and repeatedly, let us unite our efforts through active collaboration."
In particular, he urged special caution against various crimes such as cash snatching ahead of Chuseok, the traditional Korean holiday. He also requested active participation in strengthening 112 emergency call awareness and improving improper driving behaviors such as drunk driving, which threaten public traffic safety.
