Kwack Kyu-taek, chief spokesperson of the People Power Party, told reporters at the National Assembly on the 5th, "Leader Han explained that there is little disagreement between the ruling and opposition parties regarding semiconductor support," conveying this information. Leader Han also explained to Chairman Choi that the party is legally pursuing a special law for semiconductor support and regulatory relief measures for power and water supply for the semiconductor industry as part of the party's policy.

Chief Spokesperson Kwack explained, "Chairman Choi said that AI data centers and advanced industries require massive amounts of energy, and renewable energy alone may be insufficient," adding, "It was not specifically an intention to expand nuclear power generation, but rather a point that since renewable energy alone is insufficient, sufficient attention should also be paid to other energy sources such as nuclear power."

Chairman Choi also expressed his intention to convey regulatory-related opinions proposed by member companies of the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry to the National Assembly, and it is known that he mentioned the Korea Chamber is promoting a new entrepreneurship movement. Regarding Chairman Choi's remark that "deregulating regional businesses is necessary to resolve youth issues, educational disparities, and regional gaps," Leader Han responded, "We will listen a lot to the regulatory reform part and continue the dialogue together."

On the same day, Chairman Choi met with Leader Han, Lee Jae-myung of the Democratic Party of Korea, Cho Guk of the Innovation Party, and Heo Eun-ah of the Reform Party. The Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry stated, "As both ruling and opposition parties emphasized the need for support for semiconductors, AI, and power grid expansion in their speeches at the regular National Assembly session, the economic sector's expectations have also increased," adding, "To overcome the difficult economic conditions caused by high inflation and high interest rates, the National Assembly must unite regardless of party lines."
