Gyeonggi Province will hold the ‘Gyeonggi Opportunity Market’ twice this month on the 7th and 21st at the old Gyeonggi Provincial Government building in Paldal-gu, Suwon City.
On the 7th, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., a sharing flea market called ‘Naple Naple’ will be held with the participation of a total of 145 teams, including secondhand sellers, local small business owners, and handmade artists recruited through the Suwon mom cafe ‘Suwon Mom Moyora’.
The main items for sale will include children’s clothing, toys, and fashion accessories.
Additionally, there will be various hands-on activities for the whole family to enjoy, such as making natural soap, lunchbox cakes, and stamps, as well as performances including popular music by singer Yoon Inhwan, magic shows, and balloon art.
Gyeonggi Province plans to install a photo booth themed around the province’s character Bonggong-i (Life’s Three Shots) and provide shade tents, camping chairs, and bean bags throughout the venue to offer visitors memories and relaxation.
On the 21st, from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., the ‘River Market@Suwon’ will be held in collaboration with the Yangpyeong Munhori River Market.
Lee Cheolgyu, Director of the Asset Management Division of Gyeonggi Province, said, "The Gyeonggi Opportunity Market is an event to support the cultural enjoyment of residents as well as the growth of local small business owners and artists. We hope many people will show interest and participate in this event where they can enjoy cultural experiences and contribute to community sharing."
Since 2023, Gyeonggi Province has been holding the Gyeonggi Opportunity Market to revitalize the commercial area around the old government building, which has been weakened due to the relocation to the new provincial office.
