Cheonan City Discusses Expanding Incentives for Parenting Public Officials to Affiliated Organizations

Cheonan City in Chungnam recently announced the "Cheonan City Childcare Public Official Incentive Support Policy" to overcome the low birthrate crisis, and on the 5th, it held a meeting with practical workers from five local public institutions to expand the public sector.

Cheonan City, Chungnam Province, recently announced an incentive support policy for public officials raising children as part of efforts to overcome the low birth rate crisis, and on the 5th, it held a meeting with working-level staff from five local public institutions to promote the expansion of these policies in the public sector.

Starting this month, the city is implementing a four-day workweek for public officials raising children, increasing special welfare points for childbirth congratulations for public officials under the age of 40 who have been married for less than five years and have two or more children, granting the highest grade for performance bonuses, giving priority allocation for resort facilities, establishing special leave, and raising additional points for work performance evaluations.

During the meeting, participants focused on identifying childbirth and childcare support policies currently being implemented by local public institutions and discussed ways to introduce Cheonan City's incentive support policy for public officials raising children into these institutions.

A city official stated, "We will do our best to support the active participation of Cheonan City's local public institutions in marriage, childbirth, and childcare support policies, and further develop measures to expand these policies into the private sector."
