Gojincho: Yongin's First 'School Inside Together Care Center'

220㎡ Area... Four Care Teachers On-site
Regular and Occasional Care Provided Regardless of Parental Income

On the 5th, Yongin City in Gyeonggi Province announced the opening of the first 'School Inside Together Care Center' in the district at Gojin Elementary School in Gorim-dong, Cheoin-gu.

The center was established following a business agreement signed in May between the city, Gojin Elementary School, and the Yongin Office of Education in Gyeonggi Province. The Office of Education supported the remodeling construction costs, and the school provided the facility rent-free. The city is responsible for its operation.

The center was created by remodeling 220㎡ of space, including classrooms and an office on the first floor of the school. One center director and four care teachers work on-site, providing care services and special activity programs from after school until 8 p.m. during the semester, and from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. during vacation periods.

The capacity is 45 students, available not only to Gojin Elementary students but also to students from other schools in the area. Regular and temporary care services are provided to elementary students in need of care regardless of their parents' income.

A city official stated, "Even before opening, there was high interest from parents, and we have already filled all 45 spots to start operations," adding, "We will do our best to ensure that children can safely receive care services."
