Teenagers causing disturbance and skinship in cafe
Returnee agitates by kicking door, causing chaos
Owner reports "theft and property damage charges"
A cafe owner shared a story about teenagers who were kicked out for causing a disturbance by engaging in excessive physical contact but returned with a grudge to commit theft and property damage.
On the 4th, JTBC's 'Case Manager' featured the story of cafe owner A, who runs a cafe that operates as a regular cafe during the day and as an unmanned cafe after midnight. On July 3rd at 3 PM, A welcomed a group of teenagers as customers. The group ordered and ate shaved ice before leaving the cafe.
However, an hour later, the group returned to the cafe and sat down without ordering anything. They soon started making noise and causing a disturbance. Two students in the group, who appeared to be a couple, engaged in excessive physical contact to the point of embarrassment for onlookers. The cafe staff asked them to "please be quiet" and informed them that "(to use the cafe) you need to order again," but they ignored the requests, saying, "Are you the police? I'm a customer, so why should I leave?"
Eventually, A reported the group to the police. However, the building owner intervened, saying, "They are still kids; what good would come from a police investigation? Please let it go," and A showed leniency. The conflict seemed to settle for the time being, but strange incidents began occurring every dawn when the cafe operated as an unmanned cafe.

The cafe door was found broken, and items were scattered around. Suspicious, A reviewed the CCTV footage and witnessed the teenage group kicking the door and stealing cigarettes and phone chargers a few days earlier. A immediately reported them to the police on charges of property damage.
A said, "After confirming the crime, I reported the theft and property damage to the police. Since the investigation seemed slow, I decided to catch one of them myself in the early morning of the 3rd and handed them over to the police," adding, "Every time incidents like this accumulate, I wonder if I should just quit business. I reported this hoping other small business owners won't suffer similar damage."
Netizens reacted with anger to the story, saying things like, "How long will you keep excusing them because they're young?", "Shouldn't they feel the severity of the law while they're young?", "When did Korea become such a mess?", "I miss the Samcheong Education Camp," "Please abolish the juvenile offender law," "Don't run a cafe in Korea," "They are so bold because being a minor is like a privilege," and "Keep the physical contact at home."
