On the 4th at 10 a.m., Oh Seung-rok, Mayor of Nowon-gu, attended the 'Jungpyeong Children's Park and Seoul-style Kids Cafe Opening Ceremony' held at Jungpyeong Children's Park in Hagye 2-dong.
The district carried out a redevelopment project as Jungpyeong Children's Park had become outdated. The aim was to create a new living sports space and safe play facilities for children.
Through the redevelopment project, old facilities such as walking paths, rest areas, restrooms, and landscape lighting within the park were completely replaced. Additionally, various exercise equipment, including an infinite pull-up bar and standing cycle for bodyweight exercises, were newly installed in the 'Street Workout' area where outdoor exercise can be enjoyed.
Furthermore, to provide a space where children can safely play regardless of external conditions, a Seoul-style Kids Cafe was newly established within the park.
The opening ceremony was attended by about 200 people, including Mayor Oh Seung-rok, city council members, district council members, professional organizations, and residents. The event proceeded in the order of opening, introduction of guests, progress report, presentation of appreciation plaques, greetings and congratulatory speeches, and rounding.
Oh Seung-rok, Mayor of Nowon-gu, said, "Jungpyeong Children's Park has been reborn as a space where all residents can use it safely and comfortably," adding, "We will continue to expand various living sports infrastructures that all residents, from children to the elderly, can enjoy."
