DK Asia solidified its status as a representative regional festival by offering citizens gathered from across the country a special summer night filled with memories and romance through the Totoro Party special concert. DK Asia announced that more than 10,000 people gathered for the 'Totoro Party Special Concert' held on August 31 in Incheon, which was conducted to promote the culture and arts development of the city, successfully concluding the event.
The event, held on a special stage at Wanggil Station Royal Park City, was the largest ever in terms of stage scale and the crowd that came to enjoy the concert among past Totoro Party events. It was grander than ever before, captivating the audience with an overwhelming scale.
Before the main performance, the opening ceremony featured busking, dance performances, and gayageum (traditional Korean zither) playing. The start of the main show was marked by the daebuk (large drum) and a dazzling flag performance known as the Daebuk Media Art Show.
The fantastic lighting and the majestic sound of the drums heated the hearts of the citizens gathered at the concert hall. Following this, Paris Olympic medalists affiliated with Incheon Metropolitan City took the stage to express their gratitude for the enthusiastic support during the Olympics. Popular singers such as Jang Yoon-jeong, Jin Hae-sung, and Hwang Yoon-sung then appeared, leaving the citizens attending the concert with beautiful and dreamlike memories of the summer night.

Since May, DK Asia has been continuously presenting various events aimed at the development of local culture and arts and community harmony, starting with the cultural event 'Saturday Saturday with Royal Park City (Totoro Party)'. Especially, the Totoro Party special concert held in July attracted more than 7,000 people from across the country, successfully concluding the performance and establishing Totoro Party as a bona fide representative festival of the Incheon region. Furthermore, on September 28, a Totoro Party special concert commemorating the completion of Wanggil Station Royal Park City Prugio is scheduled. The September event will feature performances by famous singers, an apartment lighting ceremony celebrating the safe completion and move-in of the new apartments by turning on all the lights in the neighborhood, and a celebratory fireworks display.
Kim Jeong-mo, Chairman of DK Asia, said, “As the Totoro Party continues to be held, not only does the quality of the performances improve, but it is also becoming established as a representative cultural and arts festival of Incheon that attracts people from all over the country.” He added, “We are truly grateful that more than 10,000 people from across the nation came to enjoy the concert and have a joyful time. We will continue to strive to make Totoro Party a representative cultural event of Incheon.”
He also stated, “The Totoro Party special concert held on September 28 will be conducted with the concept of celebrating the completion of Wanggil Station Royal Park City Prugio, which will open Korea’s first K-Garden.” He continued, “On that day, approximately 20,000 pyeong (about 66,000 square meters) of five themed gardens will all open, including Royal Park with its embroidered flower beds and large fountains, Flower Park which can host various events such as Central Park and flea markets, Kids Water Park where children’s laughter never ceases, and Forest Park developed as a forest park. We hope that strolling and experiencing these diverse themed gardens will greatly enhance the quality of life and leisure for Incheon citizens. As it is developed as Korea’s first 5th generation high-end resort city, we will do our best to develop Royal Park City so that it can establish itself as a new affluent area in the metropolitan area.”
