Hanwha Systems is participating in ‘MSPO 2024,’ held over four days from the 3rd to the 6th in Kielce, Poland, showcasing a small SAR satellite developed purely with Korean technology and presenting hyper-connected solutions aimed at capturing the European market, thereby expanding export channels to Poland and Europe.

Hanwha Deploys Europe-Optimized Defense Products at 'MSPO 2024'

MSPO (Mi?dzynarodowy Salon Przemysłu Obronnego, International Defence Industry Exhibition) is an international defense industry exhibition held annually in Poland since 1993. It is the third largest exhibition among all European defense exhibitions, and this year marks its 32nd edition.

At this exhibition, Hanwha Systems will reveal for the first time images of Poland’s second-largest city, Krak?w, and will also showcase the ‘MOSS (Modular Open Suite of Standard) platform,’ an integrated command, control, and communication solution optimized for future ground combat systems.

Additionally, the exhibition will feature the combat system installed on the ‘Jangbogo-III class,’ the latest 3,000-ton global diesel submarine. Hanwha Systems supports and presents an integrated combat system for vessels aimed at improving submarine operational efficiency and combat performance. The combat system installed on the Jangbogo-III is equipped with functions to efficiently operate ▲sonar sensors ▲non-acoustic sensors ▲weapons ▲communication systems for precise and diverse mission execution in underwater environments.

Meanwhile, Hanwha is entering the competition for Poland’s next submarine project, Orka, leveraging the state-of-the-art submarine ‘Jangbogo-III (KSS-III),’ competing against France, Germany, and others. While competing countries emphasize European Union (EU) weapon systems to persuade the Polish government, Hanwha Ocean, Hanwha Aerospace, and Hanwha Systems’ defense divisions have set a direction to actively contribute to security alliances based on trust built through technology, integrated solutions, and the supply of K9 self-propelled howitzers and Chunmoo multiple rocket launchers.

At this exhibition held ahead of Poland’s next submarine project, Hanwha Ocean is the only domestic company exhibiting a submarine. It is the independently designed 3,000-ton ‘Jangbogo-III.’ It is equipped with torpedo launch tubes carrying heavyweight torpedoes, anti-ship and cruise missiles, and vertical launch systems capable of firing ballistic missiles (SLBM) as standard.

Hanwha Systems stated, “We will continue to introduce advanced models of innovative communication and battlefield visualization means for future battlefields.”
