Kakao ESG Report Receives Top Ratings at LACP Vision Awards and ARC Awards

Kakao announced on the 4th that its ESG report, "Kakao's Promise and Responsibility 2023," received the highest awards?Grand Prize and Gold Award?at the global sustainability management report competitions, the LACP 2023 Vision Awards and the Annual Report Competition (ARC) Awards 2023, respectively.

The LACP Vision Awards is a competition organized by the U.S.-based marketing research organization League of American Communications Professionals (LACP), evaluating ESG reports and communication materials. More than 1,000 companies and institutions worldwide participate. Kakao received the highest grade, the Grand Prize (Platinum), in the ESG report category for the telecommunications industry, marking its third consecutive year of winning.

Kakao achieved perfect scores in 7 out of 8 evaluation categories, including first impression, cover design, stakeholder messaging, content organization, financial information, message clarity, and information accessibility, earning a total of 99 points out of 100. This year, its global ranking rose 34 places from 94th last year to 60th.

Celebrating its 38th year, the ARC Awards is the world's largest annual report competition organized by MerComm, a U.S.-based corporate communications evaluation firm. Kakao won the Gold Award in this category for the second consecutive year and is the only domestic company to receive this honor. Kakao earned the highest grade Gold Award in the Interactive Annual Report category for ESG reports. The evaluation highlighted the faithful reflection of management status, CEO messages, financial information, as well as excellence in accuracy, information accessibility, user convenience, creativity, and design.
