Information and Communication Technology Exhibition at BEXCO from 10th to 12th... ICT Experts to Participate

Held Concurrently with Korea Safety Industry Expo... All Industry Companies Gather in Busan

The city of Busan will host the ‘2024 K-ICT WEEK in BUSAN’, the largest information and communication technology (ICT) event in the southeastern region, at BEXCO Exhibition Center II for three days from the 10th to the 12th.

‘K-ICT WEEK in BUSAN’ is Korea’s leading ICT exhibition, where experts in artificial intelligence, cloud, quantum information technology, and other fields from Korea and abroad share the latest trends and discuss future visions.

This event integrates three exhibitions: ‘AI Korea’, ‘IT Expo Busan’, and ‘Cloud Expo Korea’.

Notably, this year, ‘K-ICT WEEK in BUSAN’ will be held concurrently with the ‘Korea Safety Industry Expo’, bringing together companies from all industries related to ICT-based safety, manufacturing, education, maritime, logistics, healthcare, and security in Busan.

The event will feature a comprehensive ICT exhibition with more than 200 domestic and international companies, including KT, Douzone Bizon, Wins, SlashBSlash, and Sharpen Goat, across 489 booths. It will also include a Cloud Conference, domestic and international buyer meetings and corporate investment consultations (IR Demo Day), a quantum information technology seminar, a promising AI commercialization technology briefing by the Korea Electrotechnology Research Institute, a Busan Digital Innovation Academy (BDIA) job fair promotional booth, an information security hackathon, and various side events.

An ‘indoor navigation service’ will be operated to guide visitors within the exhibition hall, and an online virtual exhibition hall using a metaverse platform will be created so that visitors can experience AI in everyday life.

Especially at the ‘Cloud Conference’ on the 10th, a keynote speech by Microsoft Korea will be followed by experts at the forefront of AI technology development in Korea, including Kakao Enterprise and Douzone Bizon, who will discuss the latest trends and future outlooks, drawing significant attention.

As this marks the 10th anniversary of the event, the city plans to make it a new business opportunity platform that not only showcases innovative technologies leading the AI transformation (AX), but also expands conferences on quantum information technology and information security to support participating companies in pioneering new markets.

Mayor Park Hyungjoon said, “We will successfully host this event, a global platform for cooperation where you can see the advanced technologies of future unicorn companies at a glance, proving that Busan is already a city prepared for the AI transformation (AX) of all industries. In particular, through organic collaboration between the two cross-sector events, we will showcase Busan soaring toward becoming a ‘global hub city’.”
