On the 3rd, Changwon Special City in Gyeongnam announced that it will conduct the ‘Second Half Promotion Training’ throughout September for 225 civil servants who were promoted to grades 6 to 8 in the regular personnel appointments last July.
The ‘Promotion Training’ is designed to help newly promoted employees acquire the competencies required for their new positions. The trainees are divided into separate classes for grades 6, 7, and 8, and receive level-specific training tailored to each rank.
The curriculum consists of subjects that employees most want to learn or find challenging, such as ▲Planning Report Writing (document planning and structuring), ▲Budget and Accounting Practice (understanding regulations and procedures, audit case studies), and ▲Legal Affairs Practice (understanding the legal system, drafting autonomous regulations).
Notably, starting from this second half training session, academic achievement and individual competencies will be ‘evaluated’ after the training. This is expected to increase focus and learning effectiveness. Furthermore, the evaluation results will be linked to personnel management, enabling the placement of talented individuals in appropriate positions to enhance organizational competitiveness.
Shim Dongseop, Director of the Autonomous Administration Bureau, stated, “This training was prepared to support high-quality growth at every ‘growth stage’ within the public service,” adding, “We will continue to provide systematic training in line with the growth cycle in the public sector.”
Meanwhile, the second half promotion training will be held at Changwon Munseong University over a total of 10 days: September 3?6 for grade 8 promotees, September 9?12 for grade 7 promotees, and September 24?25 for grade 6 promotees.
