Expansion of Criteria for Reflecting Career Selection in Student Records
100% Reflection of Essay Test, Application of Minimum CSAT Scores
Duksung Women's University will select 856 students in this year's early admission. They have established a new Liberal Arts Department and an advanced AI (Artificial Intelligence) New Drug Development Department, selecting 183 and 25 students respectively through early admission.
Starting this year, the ratio of the art practical exam in the art practical screening has been expanded to 100% to reduce the burden on applicants. Additionally, the criteria for reflecting career elective subjects in the calculation of academic grades for the student record screening have been broadened. The eligibility for the Opportunity Equalization Screening II - Social Integration has been expanded to include children from large families (four or more children), and all rank restrictions for job categories have been removed.
The student record screening will select a total of 264 students: 99 through the 100% student record screening, 141 through the high school recommendation screening, and 24 through the Opportunity Equalization Screening I - Social Integration. All three screenings select successful candidates based on 100% student record (academic) scores.
The comprehensive student record screening will select 92 students through the Duksung Talent Screening I, 194 through the Duksung Talent Screening II, and 20 through the Opportunity Equalization Screening II - Social Integration. Outside the quota, a total of 436 students will be selected: 11 through Opportunity Equalization Screening I - Specialized High Schools, 35 through Opportunity Equalization Screening I - Rural Students, 17 through Opportunity Equalization Screening I - Basic Livelihood Security Recipients, 5 through Opportunity Equalization Screening I - Disabled and other eligible candidates, and 62 through Opportunity Equalization Screening I - Graduates from specialized high schools who are currently employed.
Among these, for the Duksung Talent Screening II and Opportunity Equalization Screening I - Disabled and other eligible candidates, in the first stage, 3 to 4 times the number of recruits are selected based on 100% document evaluation, and in the second stage, the final successful candidates are selected with 60% from the first stage document evaluation and 40% from the interview evaluation. The other six comprehensive student record screenings select successful candidates based on 100% document evaluation.
For the essay screening, 100 students will be selected, reflecting 100% of the essay exam. For the natural sciences track (mathematical essay), the exam will maintain the question format for common subjects including Mathematics, Mathematics I, and Mathematics II. The student record 100% screening and essay screening apply minimum CSAT (College Scholastic Ability Test) score requirements.
The minimum CSAT score requirement for the student record 100% screening and essay screening is that the sum of the grades of two subjects must be within 7. For the College of Pharmacy, the sum of grades of three subjects including Mathematics must be within 6. Academic grades reflect five semesters up to the first semester of the third year, calculated by combining 90% common and general elective subjects and 10% career elective subjects.
