Selecting 440 Students Through Rolling Admissions
"Department Transfers Also Planned to Be Liberalized"
Hansei University will select 440 students, accounting for 72% of the total recruitment, in the 2025 academic year early admission. More than half of the early admission quota, 225 students, will be recruited under the 'Mujeong' (Undeclared Major) category.
The Student Record Academic Excellence track will recruit 175 students in all departments except the College of Arts (Department of Music, Department of Performing Arts), selecting candidates based on 100% student record academic grades. The newly established Division of Liberal Studies from the 2025 academic year will consider three subjects: Korean or Mathematics, English, and Social Studies or Science. The humanities and social sciences departments, including Theology, Social Sciences, Public Service, and Linguistics, as well as the arts departments such as Design and the College of Arts, will consider grades in Korean, English, and Social Studies. The engineering department, IT Department, will consider Mathematics, English, and Science or Social Studies grades, while the natural sciences department, Nursing, will consider four subjects: Korean, Mathematics, English, and Social Studies or Science.
The Student Record Interview Excellence track, recruiting a total of 126 students, will be conducted in two stages. In the first stage, candidates will be selected at seven times the recruitment quota based on 100% student record academic grades. In the second stage, selection will be based on 60% student record academic grades and 40% interview scores. The interview questions will be within the scope of the high school curriculum and will commonly assess expression and attitude, personality and faith, motivation and academic plans, major aptitude and basic knowledge, and understanding of social issues.
The Practical Skills Excellence track will recruit 65 students in the Department of Music and the Department of Performing Arts, selecting candidates based on 80% practical exam scores and 20% student record academic grades. The Social Contribution and Consideration track and the Equal Opportunity track, both selecting candidates based on 100% student record academic grades, will recruit 3 students (Theology) and 34 students, respectively.
The special quota admissions include the Specialized High School Graduates track, Rural Students track, Special Education Needs track, and Overseas Koreans track, recruiting a total of 37 students. All departments except the College of Arts will select candidates based on 60% student record academic grades and 40% interview scores, while the College of Arts will select candidates based on 100% practical exam scores.
From the 2025 academic year, Hansei University will establish the Division of Liberal Studies, and the IT Department (Department of Computer Engineering, Department of Convergence Security) and the Design Department (Department of Visual Information Design, Department of Interior Architecture Design, Department of Textile Fashion Design) will conduct wide-area recruitment. The Division of Liberal Studies will allow students to freely choose majors except for Nursing, and students who enter by selecting a department will also be able to freely change their major after admission, as the transfer system will be liberalized.
