Korea Forest Welfare Institute Transfers and Spreads 'Korean Forest Healing' Know-How in Indonesia

The Korea Forest Welfare Institute recently announced on the 3rd that it conducted the third-year local training for 30 officials from the Ministry of Environment and Forestry in the Bogor area of Indonesia.

The local training was carried out as part of the official development assistance project promoted by the Forest Welfare Institute and the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA).


Through the training, the Forest Welfare Institute conveyed to local officials the basics of forest healing in Korea, the process of establishing forest healing policies, and the development and operation of forest healing programs, sharing its forest healing expertise.


Nam Taeheon, President of the Forest Welfare Institute, said, “We hope this training served as an opportunity to strengthen forest cooperation between Korea and Indonesia,” adding, “The Forest Welfare Institute will continue to strive to share and spread Korea’s forest healing policies and excellence worldwide.”
