The Hapcheon County Council in Gyeongnam opened its 284th temporary session, which will be held for nine days from the 2nd to the 10th.

This temporary session is the first to be held since the launch of the second half of the 9th Hapcheon County Council. A total of 28 agenda items will be reviewed, including three ordinances proposed by council members, the 2024 2nd supplementary budget, three amendments to fund operation plans, and 14 ordinances.


At the first plenary session of the 284th temporary session, council member Shin Gyeongja proposed a question to the Hapcheon County Governor regarding the tangible outcomes of population growth policy projects and specific plans to address the county's low birth rate crisis.


Additionally, during the five-minute free speech, council member Kim Moonsuk called for the establishment of policies to promote sports for people with disabilities, and council member Lee Taeryeon suggested the preparation of concrete support measures for residents near water sources and cultural heritage sites.


Chairman Jeong Bonghun expressed his gratitude in his opening address, saying, “I sincerely thank my fellow council members, public officials, and the esteemed citizens for their cooperation and encouragement in making it possible to hold the 284th temporary session, which marks the beginning of the second half of the 9th Hapcheon County Council.” He added, “We will do our utmost so that the lives of our citizens can become richer and more improved through this session.”
