Jung was also spotted at a club in Lyon, France, last July, sparking controversy. At that time, a tipster named A posted on X (formerly Twitter) in French, "I met Jung Joon-young, involved in the Seungri and Burning Sun scandals, in Lyon." A, who is learning Korean, saw Jung and his group speaking Korean at the club and, feeling pleased, started a conversation. One of the other Korean men in the group said, "He is a famous singer in Korea," which made A realize that this was Jung Joon-young from the 'Burning Sun Gate.'

He was released after serving his full sentence last March.
