Prizes Overflow!... Gwangjin-gu's Abundant Traditional Market Event for Chuseok

Gwangjin-gu (District Mayor Kim Kyung-ho) will hold a prize giveaway event for traditional market visitors from September 3 to 13 in celebration of the Chuseok holiday.

All eight traditional markets in Gwangjin-gu will participate in this event. Customers who purchase over a certain amount will receive discount coupons, Onnuri gift certificates, home appliances, and other generous prizes.

Additionally, during the event period, customers can purchase ritual items at discounted prices.

First, the event will kick off on the 3rd at the ‘Jayang Traditional Market.’ Customers who spend more than 10,000 KRW will receive a raffle ticket for prizes such as TVs, pressure cookers, and blenders. From the 5th to the 7th, the ‘Norunsangolmok Market’ will give gift certificates to customers who spend over 30,000 KRW.

On the 9th, the event continues at ‘Jayang Hangang Traditional Market’ and ‘Myeongok Golmok Market.’ At Jayang Hangang Market, customers who spend more than 10,000 KRW will receive raffle tickets, while Myeongok Market will provide a 5,000 KRW discount coupon upon presenting a receipt of 30,000 KRW or more.

Starting from the 11th, three markets will participate. ‘Yeongdonggyo Market’ will give 5,000 KRW Onnuri gift certificates to customers who spend over 20,000 KRW, ‘Sinseong Traditional Market’ will hand out one instant lottery ticket, and ‘Junggok Jeil Market’ will offer a 5,000 KRW discount coupon to customers who present a purchase receipt of at least 30,000 KRW.

Finally, ‘Hwayang Jeil Market’ plans to distribute prize entry tickets to customers who spend over 20,000 KRW starting from the 12th.

Kim Kyung-ho, Mayor of Gwangjin-gu, said, “We hope this event will ease the burden on residents’ shopping expenses amid high prices and revitalize traditional markets. We ask for your interest and active participation in traditional markets, which offer affordable and high-quality goods this holiday season.”

Meanwhile, Gwangjin-gu office employees will also participate in traditional market shopping events to support the revitalization of commercial districts. Additionally, safety inspections will be conducted at each market in early September to prevent accidents in anticipation of increased visitors during the holiday period.
