Suncheon Bio Research Center, Green Bio Industry Technology Support Business Agreement

MOU Between 6th Industry Certified Companies and Jeonnam Village Enterprises

Suncheon City, Jeollanam-do (Mayor Noh Gwan-gyu) has selected the bioindustry as a key future growth engine and is making various efforts to create a bioindustry ecosystem.


The city aims to lead the green bioindustry and achieve industrial convergence and expansion.

To this end, standardization across raw materials, components, and products, as well as collaboration across various fields, is essential.


The Suncheon Biohealthcare Research Center Foundation, leading Suncheon City's green bioindustry, signed MOUs with the Suncheon Rural Convergence Industry Certified Business Association (August 23) and the Jeonnam Village Enterprise Council (August 27).


Through the ‘Suncheon City 6th Industry Certified Company Technical Support Agreement’ with the Suncheon Rural Convergence Industry Certified Business Association, raw materials, which are the foundation of the green bioindustry, will not be limited to primary and secondary products but will be connected to 6th industry items through R&D support, realizing industrial convergence.


Additionally, through the ‘Jeonnam Village Enterprise Technical Support Agreement’ with the Jeonnam Village Enterprise Council, a business model aligned with the ‘Jeonnam-type Balanced Development 300 Project’ will be proposed, and support programs related to R&D and industrial characteristics will be planned for companies possessing green bio-materials throughout Jeollanam-do.


Through these efforts, the city aims to expand its green bioindustry.


A representative of the Suncheon Biohealthcare Research Center Foundation stated, “By fostering the green bioindustry, we plan to respond to global issues such as regional extinction and the climate crisis and create a sustainable future.”
