Expectations for Advanced Research Infrastructure in Convergence Materials, Parts, and Equipment

Korea University of Technology and Education announced on the 2nd that it has been selected for the "2024 Industrial Innovation Infrastructure Development Project (Advanced Research Infrastructure)" organized by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, securing a project budget of 10.4 billion KRW over the next three years.
This project is a government-supported initiative targeting research infrastructure centers with outstanding records in operating research facilities and equipment. It aims to maintain the global competitiveness of the three major industries?semiconductors, displays, and secondary batteries?while ensuring the stability of the industrial value chain and supply chain by supporting promising technologies.
Professor Jin Kyungbok stated, "This project focuses on advancing the research infrastructure for testing, evaluation, and certification of next-generation convergence materials, components, and equipment that lead the future." He added, "The Shared Equipment Center at Korea University of Technology and Education will take the lead, with a total project budget of 10.4 billion KRW to be invested over three years, and we plan to actively support related industry companies."
