Dongseo University (President Jang Jeguk) Startup Incubation Center announced on the 2nd that it successfully hosted the networking event ‘2024 SSS (Startup Synergy Summit) in YEONGNAM’ in cooperation with major startup incubation organizations in the Yeongnam region to promote growth and collaboration among startups in the content sector. The event was held over two days on the 29th and 30th at the Homers Hotel in Busan.
This event was part of the ‘2024 Idea Commercialization Support Program’ (Program Director: Professor Lee Hyundong) by the Korea Creative Content Agency.
Four startup support organizations from the Yeongnam region, including Dongseo University, Dong-Eui University, Ulsan Center for Creative Economy & Innovation, and Pohang United Technology Holdings, jointly organized the event. More than 50 participants, including prospective entrepreneurs and startups selected for the 2024 Idea Commercialization Support Program in the content sector, attended and received a great response.
On the first day of the two-day event, there was a special lecture sharing the successful startup story of a senior entrepreneur, as well as customized 1:1 mentoring sessions with experts in various fields such as law, patents, and tax accounting.
In addition, participants had opportunities to exchange and develop their ideas through networking programs and idea pitching sessions, and gained practical entrepreneurship information through a special lecture providing insights into content marketing.
On the second day, various programs were held by each organizing institution. Dongseo University Startup Incubation Center jointly operated marketing promotion and IR writing programs, and prospective entrepreneurs strengthened their capabilities in marketing promotion and IR writing through professional mentoring provided in these programs.
Kwon Kyungsoo, Head of Dongseo University Startup Incubation Center, said, “This event was designed to expand opportunities for mutual cooperation among entrepreneurs in the content sector in the Yeongnam region and to provide practical support through various programs. We plan to continue revitalizing the local startup ecosystem through ongoing entrepreneurship support programs in the future.”
