Kinok, operated by Kyowon Group since the 31st of last month, aims to be a new concept pet-friendly hotel. All spaces except the framework of the existing Suite Hotel Gyeongju have been renovated to accommodate pets. Renovation work took a total of eight months. Covering a total floor area of 7,000㎡ (approximately 2,120 pyeong), the hotel has three above-ground floors and two basement levels, designed entirely from the perspective of pets. All 34 rooms are specialized pet rooms. Low-height furniture is arranged to support dogs' joint health, and flicker-free lighting and motion sensors replace the existing lights and bells to accommodate dogs sensitive to sight and sound. The bathrooms are equipped with dog-only shower rooms. Various facilities include a 2,500-pyeong outdoor pet park, a 90-pyeong indoor pet park, pet boarding, and a pet grooming salon. The hotel also operates Sniff, a bakery, caf?, and restaurant with a total of 100 seats where dogs are allowed. To commemorate the grand opening, Kinok is conducting a social contribution activity by donating all proceeds. About 1 ton of pet food will be prepared and delivered to Rainbow Shelter, an animal protection organization operated by the Korean Dogs Association. Customers visiting on the first day of business will receive a donation certificate as a token of appreciation for participating in the donation.
