On Social Welfare Day... 'Bakwidallin Seocho Donation Concert Car' Debuts
Seocho-gu, Seoul (Mayor Jeon Seong-su) will hold the "Seocho Welfare Happiness Festival" at the first floor plaza of the district office on the 6th, marking the 25th Social Welfare Day, under the theme "Adding Fun Where Donation Meets Culture."
Hosted by the district and organized by the Seocho-gu Community Social Security Council, this event is promoted through public-private cooperation to meet residents' welfare needs and to encourage interest and participation in social welfare.
This year, for the first time nationwide, the "Wheel-Equipped Seocho Donation Concert Car" will be introduced. It combines a donation kiosk with cultural performances, allowing attendees to enjoy the performances and easily participate in donations through convenient payment methods such as credit cards, greatly contributing to the spread of a donation culture in daily life.
The first part will feature the unveiling ceremony of the "Wheel-Equipped Seocho Donation Concert Car," followed by a commemorative ceremony awarding commendations to social welfare contributors.
The second part includes celebratory performances such as a popera concert by a 10-year veteran on the Wheel-Equipped Seocho Donation Concert Car, a magic bubble show, saxophone performances, and senior ocarina and harmonica performances.
Following the cultural performances, there will be a time to reflect on the meaning of sharing through donation relay recommendations and donation-sharing education for daycare children. The first 100 people who post donation certification photos on social networking services (SNS) with hashtags will receive a birthstone donation bracelet sponsored by Shinhan Bank.
Twenty-four public and private welfare institutions in the region will operate various experience and promotional booths. Residents who participate in five or more experience booths will receive gifts sponsored by Sajo Daerim, Medica Korea, and the Seoul Social Welfare Community Chest. At the booth prepared by the Dementia Relief Center, participants in the memory decline quiz will be offered coffee or tangerine juice to the first 300 people at the Memory Cafe, where elderly individuals diagnosed with mild dementia work as baristas.
Mayor Jeon Seong-su stated, "I hope this will be a time where workers can heal while enjoying together, and residents can take a step closer to local welfare."
