Ulsan City Eases Urban Traffic Restrictions for Cargo Trucks Transporting Essential Goods
The restrictions on freight truck traffic in 23 sections of downtown Ulsan will be temporarily lifted.
Ulsan City announced that from the 6th to the 19th, the restrictions on freight trucks transporting Chuseok holiday goods in downtown Ulsan will be temporarily eased.
According to the transportation measures for the Chuseok holiday, delivery disruptions for items such as parcels, whose volume increases sharply during this period, are expected to decrease.
The applicable items include agricultural and marine products, ritual supplies, various manufactured goods, and parcels.
Freight trucks transporting Chuseok holiday goods can receive a 'temporary passage sticker' from the Freight Transport Association, attach it to the upper right corner of the vehicle's front windshield, and travel through downtown areas.
Ulsan City plans to establish a cooperative system with relevant organizations such as district offices, Ulsan Metropolitan Police Agency, and Ulsan Freight Transport Association to ensure the smooth implementation of the Chuseok holiday goods transportation measures.
An official from Ulsan City said, "We will thoroughly prepare so that the 2024 Chuseok holiday goods transportation measures proceed without any issues."
Currently, freight truck traffic in Ulsan is prohibited in a total of 23 sections, including Okhyeon Sageori (Munsu-ro)~Court Front~Gongeoptap Rotary~Taehwagang Station (Samsan-ro), and others.
