From the 5th to the 30th of this month, get a 3,000 KRW discount on orders over 10,000 KRW at 13 stores
Jung-gu District in Seoul will support a special online discount sale for Namdaemun Market from the 5th to the 30th of this month.
Thirteen stores within Namdaemun Market will participate in this discount event. Customers who order food worth more than 10,000 KRW from participating stores on Baedal Minjok will receive a 3,000 KRW discount. The benefits may end early if the budget is exhausted.
The 13 stores in Namdaemun Market are (Shin) Bukgyeong Banjeom, Mungchichi Cafe, Namdaemun Market Chunhyang Restaurant, Hyojason Mandu Namdaemun Market Main Branch, Jungang Jokbal Namdaemun Market, Namdaemun Dosirak Matjip, Bon Coffee, Jeonju Sikdang Grilled Fish, Super Dog, Annie Tteokbokki, Namdaemun Butcher Shop, Namdaemun Philly, and Chowonui Jip Gom Naengmyeon.
Jung-gu is holding this special online discount sale to support traditional market stores that have relatively low usage of online platforms, aiming to expand online sales and revitalize the market through diversification of sales channels. According to Statistics Korea, last year’s online transaction amount for food services was about 26 trillion KRW, accounting for 11% of total online shopping.
A Jung-gu official stated, “We hope this discount event will provide an opportunity for the younger generation, who prefer online transactions, to try using traditional market stores, and that it will help improve sales even slightly for traditional markets struggling with sluggish sales due to high inflation and heatwaves.”
