Presidential Office "Welcomes Ruling and Opposition Leaders' Meeting... Parliament Should Become a Livelihood Fast-Track"

"Hope it becomes an opportunity for National Assembly normalization"

The Presidential Office expressed its "welcome" on the 1st regarding the meeting between Han Dong-hoon of the People Power Party and Lee Jae-myung of the Democratic Party of Korea.


A senior official from the Presidential Office said on the same day about the meeting between the leaders of the ruling and opposition parties, "As the President has repeatedly stated, we hope this leaders' meeting will serve as an opportunity to normalize the National Assembly."


He also emphasized, "This regular session of the National Assembly should be the first step toward the livelihood politics promised by the leaders of both parties to the people," adding, "Above all, the National Assembly should become a livelihood fast-track session for livelihood bills on which there is no major disagreement between the ruling and opposition parties."
