Yangsan City Holds 3rd 'IR Day and Investment Consultation Meeting'

IR Program Operated to Strengthen Capabilities of Startups and Venture Companies

Recruiting Five Startup and Venture Companies... Applications Accepted Until September 6

Yangsan City, Gyeongnam Province, will hold the 2024 ‘3rd IR Day’ and the investment consultation event ‘Start-up VIP (Visiting IR Program)’ at G-Space Dongbu on September 23 to strengthen the investment attraction capabilities of local start-ups and venture companies.

IR (Investor Relations) refers to promotional activities conducted by companies targeting investors, while VIP (Visiting IR Program) is a program in which local start-up support organizations are visited to conduct company IR presentations and investment consultations.

The IR Day and investment consultation event ‘Start-up VIP’ are initiatives by Yangsan City to discover local start-ups and venture companies and support the strengthening of their investment attraction capabilities. The city plans to hold four sessions of this event in 2024; two have already taken place in April and July, and the third will be held in September.

Eligible applicants are companies based in Yangsan that have been in business for less than seven years, with five companies supported per session. Supported companies will be provided with investment lectures by promising local VC (Venture Capital) Gyeongnam Venture Investment and AC (Accelerator) Co-Up Partners, as well as customized IR consulting, investment consultations, and opportunities for investment-attraction IR presentations.

In particular, the city plans to actively support participating companies by linking them to the ‘Next Generation Regional New Deal & Bio Investment Fund’, a fund of approximately 20 billion KRW established to foster local venture companies.

The application period for the ‘3rd Start-up VIP’ is from September 2 to September 6, and applications can be submitted via email. The application form and further details can be found in the announcements section of the ‘Yangsan City Business and Job Economy Portal’ website.

A Yangsan City official stated, “We look forward to the active participation of promising local start-ups and venture companies in this event,” and added, “We will spare no effort to ensure that the event provides practical support for increasing the success rate and competitiveness of each company.”
