Minseo Jeong Wins by 5 Strokes, Sumin Oh in 2nd Place
Kim Minsu claimed the top spot at the 28th Choi Deung-gyu Cup Maeil Business Newspaper Amateur Golf Championship.

In the final round of the men's division held on the 30th at Seowon Valley Country Club in Paju, Gyeonggi Province (Par 72), he shot an even-par 72 to secure a one-stroke victory (19-under 269). He edged out Ahn Seong-hyun, who finished at 18-under 270 and had won last year's tournament as well as this year's Junior Open, by one stroke. This marks Kim Minsu's second victory this year in tournaments organized by the Korea Golf Association (KGA), following his win at the Bitgoeul Joongheung Cup Amateur Golf Championship in May. He earned a spot in the GS Caltex Maeil Business Newspaper Open scheduled for May next year.
In the women's division, Jung Min-seo recorded a 6-under 66 on the final day to achieve a wire-to-wire victory (22-under 266). This was her first win in nine KGA-sanctioned tournaments this year. Jung Min-seo secured entry tickets to the Daebo House D Open of the Korean Ladies Professional Golf Association (KLPGA) Tour, held at the same venue starting next month on the 20th, as well as the Sh Suhyup Bank MBN Women's Open to be held next year. National team member Oh Soo-min finished second, five strokes behind at 17-under 271.
The Choi Deung-gyu Cup Maeil Business Newspaper Amateur Golf Championship began in 1997. It is jointly hosted by Maeil Business Newspaper, MBN, and Daebo Group, and organized by the KGA. A total of 600 national team points were at stake.
