Meeting with Renowned American AI Scholar Professor Andrew Ng
Bang Si-hyuk, chairman of HYBE, has attracted attention by appearing more gaunt than usual in a photo.
On the 29th, Chairman Bang posted a photo on his personal social media (SNS) with the caption, "It was an honor to meet you, Mr. Andrew Ng." The photo shows Chairman Bang standing together with Professor Ng from Stanford University in the United States.

Professor Ng is one of the world's leading computer scientists and is recognized as a key contributor to deep learning, the core technology behind the current so-called "artificial intelligence (AI) boom." He is also the founder of the "Google Brain" project, Google's AI research division, and has led machine learning (ML), computer vision, and autonomous driving research at China's IT giant Baidu.
Recently, President Yoon Suk-yeol met with Professor Ng to discuss prospects for economic and social development through AI and views on fostering startups. Meanwhile, executives from the Shinsegae Group and Hwang Hyun-sik, president of LG Uplus, also met with Professor Ng to discuss plans for global AI cooperation.
However, netizens' attention seems to be more focused on Chairman Bang's appearance rather than Professor Ng. Chairman Bang's face in the photo appeared very gaunt. In fact, various speculations appeared in the comments under the post, such as "Did he lose that much weight in just two weeks?" and "It could be photo editing."
Earlier, on the 7th, Chairman Bang was spotted walking the streets of Beverly Hills, Los Angeles (LA), California, with internet broadcaster 'BJ Gwajeupseyeon' and her sister. At that time, his physique did not look significantly different from before, which is why the recent photo taken with Professor Ng is drawing even more attention.
