People Power Party Announces Resolution After Workshop
Ruling Party: "We Will Ease Difficulties of Common People and Vulnerable, Prioritize Public Safety"
On the 30th, members of the People Power Party stated, "As a party that upholds the constitutional values of liberal democracy, we will firmly stand against the opposition's reckless remarks and false provocations that harm the livelihood of the people and national interests."
On the same day, after concluding a members' workshop held at the Human Resources Development Institute of Incheon International Airport Corporation in the morning, the People Power Party members issued a resolution containing these statements.
In the resolution, the members criticized, "The major opposition party has been fully engaged in obstructing state affairs and creating an impeachment political situation by mobilizing all means of political conflict such as special investigations, impeachment, and hearings. The sacred National Assembly has been stained by all kinds of reckless remarks and abuse of power, and the essence of parliamentary politics, which is dialogue and compromise, has collapsed."
They continued, "We did not give up. We resolutely fought against the legislative rampage of the major opposition party that destroys the constitutional order," adding, "And with the ruling party's responsibility, we appealed for a truce in political conflict in August to revive the spark of livelihood legislation, and on the 28th, twenty-eight livelihood bills were passed by bipartisan agreement in the plenary session."
The People Power Party members also pledged, "As a competent policy party that protects livelihoods and nurtures the future, we will take the lead in alleviating the difficulties of the common people and the vulnerable and protecting the safety of the people," and "As the ruling party with unlimited responsibility for state affairs, we will proactively carry out reforms for future generations and lead the transformation of community crises into opportunities."
In this regard, they stated, "We will prepare for the sustainable development and a happy tomorrow of the Republic of Korea together with the Yoon Seok-yeol administration. We will responsibly implement the four major reforms in pensions, healthcare, education, and labor for the livelihood and safety of the people and future generations," promising, "We will actively respond to challenges threatening the community's future, such as the population crisis, sexual violence, polarization, regional extinction, climate crisis, and new infectious diseases."
Furthermore, they emphasized, "We will reject populist politics and work to create a future where everyone has ample opportunities to challenge themselves," and "We will become a competent policy party that protects livelihoods and nurtures the future, taking the lead in alleviating the difficulties of the common people and the vulnerable and protecting the safety of the people."
