Hyundai Wia Receives AA Grade Certification for Excellent Export and Import Safety Management Company

Hyundai Wia announced on the 30th that it received the AA grade certification for Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) from the Korea Customs Service. The company received the AA grade for both export and import sectors. This certification is an internationally recognized system in which the Customs Service selects excellent companies based on the standards of the World Customs Organization. It evaluates internal control systems, compliance with laws and regulations, financial soundness, safety management, and social contribution. Benefits of certification include exemption from customs inspections, reduction of fines, expedited customs clearance, and reduced inspection rates. Since last year, the company has helped six partner companies obtain AEO certification, with two having achieved it so far. To receive the AAA grade, the company must fulfill achievements in supporting partner companies' certification. Hyundai Wia aims to obtain the AAA grade by 2028.
