Sinseol-dong Station Area Location, Maximum 24 Floors and 299 Units... Seoul City Integrated Maintenance Project Review Held and Completed on the 20th
Dongdaemun-gu, Seoul (Mayor Lee Pil-hyung) announced that Sinseol 1 District, located at 92-5 Sinseol-dong, has become the first area to complete integrated review under Seoul's public redevelopment project.
Sinseol 1 District involves LH (Korea Land and Housing Corporation) as the public developer, and in July 2023, the contractor (Doosan Construction) was selected. After applying for the integrated review of the maintenance project in February this year and completing preliminary reviews by related departments, the final review was completed on the 20th.
The integrated review process conducts evaluations across various fields such as architecture, landscape, and education all at once, significantly reducing the review period from over two years to six months. This has enabled the rapid advancement of maintenance projects that were previously delayed due to overlapping reviews and conflicting opinions in individual assessments.
Sinseol 1 District is the first case in Seoul's public redevelopment projects to complete the integrated review, and includes 299 apartment units in a 24-story above-ground and 2-story underground residential complex, along with ancillary and welfare facilities, and neighborhood living facilities.
Additionally, facilities such as a senior citizens' center, a small library, and an indoor community exercise facility will be provided to contribute to community revitalization.
Lee Pil-hyung, Mayor of Dongdaemun-gu, stated, “Through this public redevelopment, we will provide a pleasant and safe residential environment within the station area, improving residents' quality of life and contributing to the revitalization of the local economy. We will continue to lead housing stability and urban development through ongoing institutional improvements and support.”
