On the 29th, the Criminal Division 3 of the Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office (Chief Prosecutor Choi Soon-ho) announced that Eom, a Chinese national, was indicted on charges of murder while in custody.

According to the prosecution, on the afternoon of the 14th of last month, Eom stabbed the victim, Ms. A, who worked together as an entertainment hostess at the karaoke room, with a kitchen knife, killing her. The two worked together at the karaoke room. Two days before the incident, while drinking at a pub together, Eom believed that Ms. A had stolen her wallet, leading to an argument. On the day of the incident, Eom had purchased a kitchen knife in advance and went to the karaoke room, and during another argument with Ms. A, she became enraged and committed the crime.

A prosecution official stated, "We will do our best to maintain the prosecution so that the defendant receives a severe sentence commensurate with the crime, and we will also make every effort to support the victim's family."
